Man made God in his image.

Man gave to God a name, to call upon God whenever the need arisen. Man gave to God a form that encompasses all, so that when God was called upon God would be present. Man gave to God absolute power, so that man would have a force of ultimate power to call upon to dominate anything beneath man. Man gave to God omniscience, so that man could call upon a upon a source of ultimate wisdom to his counsel for his rule of those beneath man. Man gave to God purity, so that man would have a source of something intrinsically good to act on his behalf therefore, man could do no evil if it was done by the will of God, also making those beneath man subjected to a rule of divinity. Man gave to God a kingdom of eternal love for the pure of heart, so God would be as a king of the pure; to give those beneath man's laws something greater to aspire while under man's divine rule.Man gave to God an adversary,evil in all its forms, so that man could claim to act for God wherever man saw evil. Man gave to God a punishment for evil, so that man could punish the evil man saw through God, this place would be a place of eternal torment, a place devoid of God's love. Man gave to God his gender, so that man's gender would be superior being closer to God.Man made God perfect, so that man would see the delusion of perfection in himself. Man made God in his image, so that man could see himself as God,divine, omnipotent,omnipresent, omnibenevolent, and omniscient.

This is really deep and all, and pretty damn interesting, but I would of so loved to have read this when I was stoned out my head yesterday. XD

Thanks.I'm glad you found this interesting.I've been wondering later if the image of God was created by a patriarchal hierarchy to control the masses. These are the types of things I think and write about when it's three in the morning, and I can't sleep.
